In the 4th minute, Joaquim Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SC Petisgueira getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Gaspar Branco hit a great ball. Diogo Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Francisco Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Francisco Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Pereira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlos Barros. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gaspar Branco sped through SC Senouras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diogo Rodrigues. Afonso Guarda struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Basílio Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Senouras. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Branco in the 39th minute of play forced SC Senouras's goalkeeper Diogo Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Delgado hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Diogo Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Pereira having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Joaquim Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Petisgueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Rodrigues having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Cândido Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Petisgueira and the SC Senouras players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Senouras booed when SC Petisgueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Diogo Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Senouras's Gabriel Barros got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Gaspar Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Petisgueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joaquim Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basílio Pereira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Guarda went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. SC Petisgueira's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
