Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Garcia started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Olival FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Garcia came free, but Mariano Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 played minutes Olival FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Aguiar. Gil Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Pereira having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as João Tavares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving David Tavares. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Gil Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mariano Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes, Adelino Matias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olival FC and the Cotas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, João Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olival FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cotas FC's David Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Cotas FC from getting a goal against them. Mariano Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, João Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olival FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Gil Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mariano Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gil Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. David Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Santos's late challenge caught a Cotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Santos helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Olival FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Santos. Oliveira Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oliveira Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Cotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliveira Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cotas FC's zone, Gil Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Tavares came out of the goal and Gil Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Garcia struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mariano Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cotas FC. If Gil Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Olival FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Luís Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Pereira having to make a save. Luís Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olival FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
