The tension between the Cotas FC and the SC Conchada players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Conchada booed when Cotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliveira Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Garcia was the one to do the kick off. David Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Mendes in the 51st minute of the match. David Sá came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cotas FC's Gil Azevedo. But to his dismay, Gil Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Cotas FC booed when SC Conchada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Luís Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Sá was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Azevedo got free with David Sá in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Barros in the 78th minute of the match. If Tomás Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, SC Conchada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Mendes to maneuver through the defense. SC Conchada's Vítor Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Cotas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cotas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
