Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Sarnache's Manuel Leal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Sarnache's Adelino Viegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Resende in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Carnapata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Fontess short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Adelino Nascimento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Jorge Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adelino Viegas. SC Sarnache's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. SC Sarnache's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carnapata FC the free kick. With a left leg Adelino Nascimento saved Carnapata FC from getting behind. In the 38th minute Manuel Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Resende was the one to do the kick off. Adelino Viegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Fonseca in the 57th minute. Paulo Marques's late challenge caught a Carnapata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Marques helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Marques hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Carnapata FC's Jorge Resende dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Manuel Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Nascimento having to interfere. Adelino Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute.
