The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Moutinho got free with Pedro Pereira in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Aguiar in the 23rd minute of play forced Padredo FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Luz struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Joaquim Leiria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Legacao. Jorge Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Joaquim Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorge Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes Padredo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Albertino Matias who took care of the corner kick. In the 37th minute, Emílio Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquim Leiria was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 40th minute, Jorge Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Legacao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Setúbal made a kick off. Jorge Luz scored 0-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquim Leiria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Emílio Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jorge Luz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the SC Legacao fans jumped to their feet. Pedro Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Legacao played a much better game than Padredo FC and deserved their victory. The Padredo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
