Manuel Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Costa having to interfere. Mariano Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rafael Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Hugo Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Bracal and the Contencas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, SC Bracal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Reis to maneuver through the defense. David Machado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Contencas's Óscar Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Castro in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Joaquim Machado could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Óscar Costa however easily saved by the left post. When Tiago Faria fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Contencas's protests and gave Tiago Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Lúcio Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bracal's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastião Porto was the one to do the kick off. Óscar Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 54 minutes, Joaquim Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bracal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Joaquim Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th match minute, Contencas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Sá to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Contencas's zone, Lúcio Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Costa came out of the goal and Lúcio Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Contencas's Sebastião Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 65 played minutes SC Bracal got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Guarda. Mariano Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rafael Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Rafael Brás when he managed to save the team from getting behind. André Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Óscar Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Castro in the 86th minute of play. Joaquim Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Costa having to interfere. Mariano Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Brás having to make a save. Mariano Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rafael Brás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Contencas. Mariano Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Brás having to make a save. Rafael Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, SC Bracal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Silva to maneuver through the defense. SC Bracal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
