António Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Afonso Leal's late challenge caught a Contencas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Leal helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Junto FC's Afonso Leal got a free kick in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Junto FC's Hélder Amaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Óscar Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Junto FC booed when Contencas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Tiago Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Contencas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Junto FC the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Contencas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Faria to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Costa having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Contencas's João Nunes threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastião Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. João Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. João Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Hélder Amaro made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Contencas's Óscar Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Junto FC's goalkeeper João Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Contencas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Óscar Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Amaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Óscar Costa having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, António Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but António Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Contencas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Junto FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Junto FC.
