Oliveira Moutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oliveira Moutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Assenta got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Moutinho. Oliveira Moutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Garcia having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Barros to make the kick off. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joaquim Garcia. The supporters of Judearias FC booed when Assenta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nuno Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Leite was relentless in the 77th minute of the game.
