Jorge Faro hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute Cristiano Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 minutes, Cristiano Leiria made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cojo's Afonso Moutinho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Eduardo Paredes sped through Gorjao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Fonseca. Fernando Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Fernando Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Hugo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cojo. Eduardo Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hugo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cojo's Afonso Moutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cojo from getting a goal against them. When Sérgio Brás came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Gorjao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Brás couldn't finish the play. Cojo's Afonso Moutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Cojo from getting a goal against them. Fernando Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Fonseca having to interfere. Eduardo Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hugo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Lúcio Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Cristiano Leiria made the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Brás scored 2-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Moutinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonso Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Leiria in the 71st minute of the match. Sérgio Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Afonso Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Cristiano Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Gorjao's Fernando Guerreiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Afonso Moutinho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cojo's Afonso Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Brás in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Cojo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Leiria came free, but Afonso Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Cristóvão Barbosa put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo Fonseca. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
