Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pedro Brás got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Macedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nuno Assis. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Pedro Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Oliveira in the 7th minute of play forced SC Lajeosa's goalkeeper Nuno Assis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pedro Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Assis having to interfere. The supporters of Batigelas booed when SC Lajeosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Joaquim Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Trindade scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquim Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquim Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Brás in the 36th minute of the match. If Raul Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Filipe Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Lajeosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Raul Trindade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Lajeosa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Nuno Assis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Oliveira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Raul Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Maia in the 55th minute of play. When Filipe Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Lajeosa's protests and gave Filipe Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Viriato Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Assis. SC Lajeosa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After having played for 69 minutes, Raul Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Lajeosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Lajeosa's Filipe Araújo got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 88th minute Viriato Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Lajeosa's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Batigelas had won, even though SC Lajeosa had held more of the ball.
