Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 8 minutes, Luís Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Faia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bento Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Bento Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. André Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Fernando Araújo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Castro. Faia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Faia FC's André Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Freitas in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Faia FC's André Castro got control of the ball when Fernando Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Fernando Araújo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Balouta booed when Faia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balouta's Fernando Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bento Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Fernando Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balouta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bento Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bento Trindade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Bernardo Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Balouta's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Tavares came free, but Bento Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Faia FC defense, Bento Trindade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Castro. The Faia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Castro should have stopped the shot. After 76 minutes of play, Faia FC's Mário Simões made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bento Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Balouta booed when Faia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes Faia FC got a freekick which was hit by Mário Simões. After 86 played minutes, Balouta's Armindo Mota shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper André Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balouta reached it. Bento Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Freitas in the 87th minute of play. If Fernando Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Balouta had played much better football throughout.
