Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simão Carvalho made the kick off which started today's match. Cachopos's Gil Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Carneiro in the 3rd minute of play. Simão Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Dias having to make a save. The supporters of Balanca FC booed when Cachopos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Oliveira in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Balanca FC's zone, Simão Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Dias came out of the goal and Simão Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cachopos's Júlio Fernandes got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Carneiro in the 38th minute of play forced Cachopos's goalkeeper Gil Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Luís Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil Macedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Balanca FC's Álvaro Carneiro in 53 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gil Macedo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 54th minute, Mariano Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cachopos's Cristiano Oliveira managed to work through Balanca FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristiano Oliveira dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balanca FC's goalkeeper Luís Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Delgado during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Balanca FC's Ricardo Delgado got a free kick in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Álvaro Carneiro in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77thth minute of the game Álvaro Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachopos's Gil Macedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simão Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Cachopos's Simão Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Dias. Luís Dias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cachopos's zone, Mariano Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Macedo came out of the goal and Mariano Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Cachopos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
