Domingos Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Nogueira having to interfere. Rui Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Pieres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Viana came free, but Nuno Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nuno Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pieres FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Afonso Aleixo hit a great ball. Nuno Coimbra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Viana's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The supporters of Tapadao FC booed when Pieres FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pieres FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Pieres FC booed when Tapadao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When David Henriques came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Tapadao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Henriques couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pieres FC's zone, Fernando Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Coimbra came out of the goal and Fernando Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Domingos Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pieres FC booed when Tapadao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes in the game, Manuel Brás fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Domingos Nogueira having to interfere. If Manuel Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tapadao FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pieres FC for a fine match.
