Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Eusébio Leite started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Eusébio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Espinhal FC's goalkeeper Artur Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Brás. Sosa FC's Basílio Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Teixeira in the 21st minute of play forced Sosa FC's goalkeeper Carlos Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Queirós in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Artur Dantas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Sosa FC's Filipe Costa got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio Borba during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sosa FC booed when Espinhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Espinhal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Sousa to maneuver through the defense. José Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sosa FC's Basílio Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Teixeira to make the kick off. Cláudio Borba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Viegas firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sosa FC's Carlos Viegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Sosa FC from getting a goal against them. António Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Sosa FC's goalkeeper Carlos Viegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Henriques. After 86 minutes of play Espinhal FC's José Simões was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jacinto Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 88 minutes into the game, one of Espinhal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Artur Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Brás in the 93rd minute of play. Eusébio Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Artur Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
