In the 3rd match minute, Oeiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Assunção to maneuver through the defense. André Rodrigues hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Oeiras FC's Álvaro Moniz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Contim's zone, Artur Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Maia came out of the goal and Artur Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Cunha struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jorge Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oeiras FC. José Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Humberto Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Santos having to interfere. Joel Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. José Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Santos having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Oeiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Castro came free, but Carlos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Artur Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oeiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oeiras FC's Hélder Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Artur Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oeiras FC! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for SC Contim. Hugo Morais stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlos Santos. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Maia came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Oeiras FC's Hélder Leão. But to his dismay, Hélder Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. SC Contim's José Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oeiras FC's Carlos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Silva in the 61st minute of play. Hélder Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jorge Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Humberto Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
