Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Américo Queirós kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Lopes in the 6th minute of play forced Mato FC's goalkeeper Bruno Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lourenço Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lourenço Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Queirós during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mato FC's Américo Queirós got a free kick in the 34th minute. Lourenço Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Setúbal having to interfere. Raul Melo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Alges's Joaquim Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Setúbal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Sebastião Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Pereira came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Mato FC's Sebastião Monteiro. But to his dismay, Sebastião Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Mato FC's Nuno Garcia got a free kick in the 54th minute. Lourenço Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bruno Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Monteiro in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Macedo during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Macedo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Lourenço Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Bruno Setúbal made a huge save. Mato FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Joaquim Lopes scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Setúbal, making the score, 1-1. Joaquim Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Setúbal having to interfere. Alges's Miguel Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Queirós in the 80th minute of play. Miguel Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Sebastião Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute of the match, Joaquim Lopes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Setúbal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Alges players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
