Alexandre Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Reis was a little too slow when Bruno Ferro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Alberto Valente charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Valente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes SC Devesas got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Valente. Paulo Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Paulo Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alberto Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Simões in the 29th minute of play forced Abuxarda's goalkeeper Paulo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bruno Ferro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Reis was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Abuxarda's Paulo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Simões in the 46th minute of play. Paulo Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Simões in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Ferro in the 53rd minute of play forced SC Devesas's goalkeeper Miguel Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abuxarda's Paulo Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Abuxarda from getting a goal against them. When Simão Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Devesas's protests and gave Simão Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Simão Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Reis having to interfere. Manuel Brito's late challenge caught a Abuxarda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Brito helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, SC Devesas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Brito to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abuxarda's goalkeeper Paulo Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77thth minute of the game Alberto Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abuxarda's Paulo Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Ferro charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Ferro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Abuxarda got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Ferro. Alexandre Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Gomes having to interfere. Many of SC Devesas's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. SC Devesas may have spent more time on the ball, but Abuxarda were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
