Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Xavier Marques started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bicesse's Afonso Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Rui Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bicesse's Afonso Borges in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canhestros's goalie prevented a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Bicesse's goalkeeper Gil Setúbal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavier Marques. If Pedro Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Canhestros's Cristiano Soares got a free kick in the 15th minute. Rui Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pedro Guarda came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Canhestros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Guarda couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the game, Xavier Marques lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Gil Setúbal. Rui Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Paiva having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Canhestros's Armindo Barbosa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Jorge Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Jorge Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Afonso Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Paiva. Canhestros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Pedro Guarda had several of the Bicesse's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Gil Setúbal as he didn't even see the shot coming. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Borges made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Bicesse's Afonso Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Afonso Borges struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Rui Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bicesse. Pedro Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gil Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Marques struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Gil Setúbal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canhestros. After 73 played minutes Bicesse got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Leal. In the 79th minute of the match Alfredo Jesus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gil Setúbal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Afonso Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Rui Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Pedro Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Xavier Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th match minute, Canhestros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Albertino Domingues from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Rui Paiva's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
