Alfredo Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Pinho having to interfere. Ricardo Viegas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diogo Correia having to make a save. If Ricardo Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Pinho having to interfere. When Ricardo Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SC Macoida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Viegas couldn't finish the play. Diogo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Borges in the 25th minute of the match. When Ricardo Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SC Macoida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Viegas couldn't finish the play. SC Macoida's Afonso Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save SC Macoida from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Viegas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Diogo Correia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. SC Macoida's Afonso Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Araújo in the 60th minute of play. In the 74th minute of the match SC Macoida got a corner. Vilares's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Afonso Mendes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Afonso Mendes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Diogo Correia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 77 minutes into the match, SC Macoida's Lucas Neto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Borges in the 80th minute of play forced Vilares's goalkeeper Diogo Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, José Araújo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Pinho. SC Macoida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Vilares's José Santos got a free kick in the 91st minute. After taking down the ball on SC Macoida's corner Afonso Mendes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Diogo Correia quite easily take care of the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
