Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Resgatados's Rui Coimbra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Resgatados's Lucas Fernandes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jorge Leiria but with some difficulty. Carlos Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jorge Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Rui Coimbra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jorge Leiria. Rui Coimbra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some careless play in the SC Arnelas defense, Carlos Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Leiria. The SC Arnelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Leiria should have stopped the shot. Júlio Leal struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vasco Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Arnelas. After 25 minutes, Vítor Gueifão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Resgatados and the SC Arnelas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, SC Resgatados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match, Rui Coimbra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jorge Leiria saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Carlos Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SC Resgatados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Abreu couldn't finish the play. In the 30th match minute, SC Arnelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes, SC Resgatados's Fábio Castro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Leiria came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Resgatados reached it. In the 34th match minute, SC Arnelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Reis to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, SC Resgatados's Fábio Castro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Rui Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vasco Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Lucas Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Resende was the one to do the kick off. Rui Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jorge Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 57 played minutes SC Arnelas got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Reis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mário Reis during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Arnelas's Mário Reis got a free kick in the 64th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Carlos Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Resgatados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Lucas Resende fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Júlio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Vasco Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Fontes having to interfere. If Júlio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Lucas Resende elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Coimbra in the 89th minute of play forced SC Arnelas's goalkeeper Jorge Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Leiria came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Resgatados's Rui Coimbra. But to his dismay, Rui Coimbra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Rui Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Leiria having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Resgatados fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Arnelas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
