The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Vítor Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brinches FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Agoncida the free kick. 5 minutes into the match, SC Agoncida's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Soares came free, but Joel Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Leal hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Cristiano Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Brinches FC booed when SC Agoncida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Antunes having to interfere. Cristiano Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Nuno Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of SC Agoncida booed when Brinches FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Agoncida's Jorge Paredes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Brinches FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrique Figueiredo during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Agoncida getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Henrique Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match Afonso Marques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nuno Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Catarino Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Reis in the 55th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Nuno Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Agoncida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristóvão Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Agoncida's Nuno Leal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Catarino Santos. That made the score 1-1 after 64 minutes of play. Amadeu Amaro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 72 minutes in the game, Cristiano Reis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Catarino Santos having to interfere. Joel Antunes came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Brinches FC's Bento Branco. But to his dismay, Bento Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cristiano Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Reis got free with Catarino Santos in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristiano Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Catarino Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Brinches FC's Vítor Amaral got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Catarino Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Brinches FC's goalkeeper Catarino Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Reis. Brinches FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
