Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gaspar Nascimento started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Paulo Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes SC Purgatorio got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Barbosa. After recieving a nice pass, Cartaria's Joaquim Sousa tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 5th match minute, SC Purgatorio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Vasco Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Cartaria's Hugo Setúbal got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute Gaspar Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasco Teixeira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaspar Nascimento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Sousa during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joaquim Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Purgatorio's Gaspar Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vasco Teixeira. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. António Castro in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vasco Teixeira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hugo Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bento Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Purgatorio getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Paulo Barbosa hit a great ball. If Bento Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. When Joaquim Sousa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. A collision led to Cartaria getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Joaquim Sousa hit a great ball. Cartaria's Vasco Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Castro in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, João Santarém was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cartaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Purgatorio the free kick. The supporters of SC Purgatorio booed when Cartaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vasco Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Bento Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gaspar Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Purgatorio booed when Cartaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If António Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When António Castro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the SC Purgatorio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Castro couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Gaspar Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vasco Teixeira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Purgatorio had won after a very even match.
