Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Américo Matos got the match started through his kick off. Manuel Ferro made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Lúcio Araújo sent off a good shot on target. After 8 played minutes, SC Formigais's Joaquim Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Teixeira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Formigais reached it. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Formigais fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Manuel Ferro had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Bernardo Figueiredo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Manuel Ferro was a little too slow when Bernardo Figueiredo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 15th minute, Adelino Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the SC Formigais defense, Lúcio Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Ferro. The SC Formigais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Ferro should have stopped the shot. If Filipe Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Formigais getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mário Aleixo hit a great ball. Américo Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Ferro having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Gondivinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Leite. Lúcio Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, Alfredo Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filipe Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Teixeira having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filipe Maia was the one to do the kick off. Lúcio Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Ferro having to interfere. Eusébio Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Teixeira having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Eusébio Cabral fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Filipe Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Formigais's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Filipe Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Miguel Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Freitas during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Maia in the 85th minute of the match. Miguel Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Maia in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Teixeira saved Gondivinho FC from getting behind. Lúcio Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Manuel Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gondivinho FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Formigais had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
