Amadeu Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Matos in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Américo Matos made the kick off in the second half. Algoceira FC's Basílio Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alfredo Freitas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. Miguel Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Algoceira FC had won after a very even match.
