The supporters of Bairral FC booed when Paranho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Rodrigues got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Carlos Cruz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Bruno Sousa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Sérgio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Faro in the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paranho's Bruno Sousa got a free kick in the 28th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 32nd minute, but Carlos Cruz got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Paranho hanging dry this time. Sérgio Rodrigues took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Cruz. Carlos Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 39 minutes into the game, Gaspar Gueifão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bairral FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paranho the free kick. Paranho were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Bairral FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joaquim Nogueira took the corner. José Cabral made a great header on Paranho's corner, it was just that Bairral FC's Manuel Gueifão managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Bairral FC's zone, Henrique Faro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Gueifão came out of the goal and Henrique Faro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sérgio Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Bairral FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Faro came free, but Manuel Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Faro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Paranho's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Sérgio Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Bairral FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Sérgio Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Carlos Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paranho's Álvaro Valente got a free kick in the 85th minute. Sérgio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paranho's goalkeeper Carlos Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Paranho's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Rodrigues came free, but Carlos Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
