The supporters of Redondo FC booed when Nuzedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Silva, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Heitor Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Domingues having to interfere. If Amílcar Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alfredo Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco Assunção took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Domingues. Redondo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Nuzedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Leite in the 66th minute of the match. If Pedro Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Redondo FC's Raul Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Pedro Leite fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfredo Rocha, passed just outside the right post. Raul Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Redondo FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Amílcar Antunes hit a great ball.
