The audience was convinced that Eusébio Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Fonseca was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Paulo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Sérgio Lisboa scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Barros having to interfere. Alberto Cardoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Barros having to make a save. Augusto Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Cardoso in the 40th minute of play. SC Faja's Augusto Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Lisboa in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, SC Faja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. If Alberto Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Cardoso to make the kick off. Augusto Barros made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Sérgio Lisboa sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Agostem FC's Sérgio Lisboa fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 60 minutes, Joaquim Brás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agostem FC and the SC Faja players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Agostem FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Brás. Joel Porto's late challenge caught a Agostem FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Porto helped the player get up and apologised. 64 minutes into the match, Agostem FC's Alberto Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Augusto Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Cardoso in the 67th minute of the match. João Moniz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Barros. SC Faja's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Fernando Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agostem FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Faja the free kick. Fernando Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Faja's Sandro Machado tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, David Domingues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Paulo Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Eusébio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Fonseca was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 95thth minute of the game Eusébio Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agostem FC's Paulo Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Agostem FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
