In the 19th match minute, Rosairinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Mendes to maneuver through the defense. In the 20thth minute of the game Alexandre Domingues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosairinho FC's Mário Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Henrique Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Ferro in the 39th minute of the match. When Sérgio Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Rosairinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Ferro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SC Belmonte getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Paulo Leiria hit a great ball. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Belmonte! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrique Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot by Artur Aleixo from long distance, 91 minutes into the match, got Carlos Aguiar's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Freitas during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
