Oliveira Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Paiva having to interfere. When Carlos Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Miravale's protests and gave Carlos Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Miravale getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Carlos Gonçalves hit a great ball. Afonso Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Guerreiro in the 7th minute of the match. If Emanuel Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Miranda's late challenge caught a Baixinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Miravale getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Eusébio Miranda hit a great ball. Emanuel Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Afonso Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Miravale's Afonso Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveira Barros in the 22nd minute of play. If Oliveira Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Guerreiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Paiva was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 32nd minute, Amadeu Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute Oliveira Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Oliveira Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Paiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Oliveira Barros came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Baixinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliveira Barros couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliveira Barros in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The SC Miravale players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baixinho were winning 0-2.

Afonso Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Guerreiro in the 51st minute of the match. Baixinho's Emanuel Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Miravale's Afonso Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Guerreiro in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Jorge Guarda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Miravale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Guerreiro in the 65th minute of play forced SC Miravale's goalkeeper Afonso Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliveira Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Afonso Paiva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th play minute Oliveira Barros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Afonso Paiva. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Guarda in the 86th minute of play forced Baixinho's goalkeeper Inácio Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Guarda in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Baixinho's goalkeeper Inácio Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baixinho's Inácio Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Moniz in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Baixinho booed when SC Miravale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Paiva having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Baixinho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
