Amor FC's Afonso Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Amor FC from getting a goal against them. After 8 minutes, Lúcio Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amor FC and the Vilarelhe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lúcio Correia hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rui Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Veiga hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Vilarelhe FC's Rui Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes Vilarelhe FC got a freekick which was hit by David Araújo. Alexandre Rocha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rui Carvalho in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Afonso Vaz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 23 played minutes Amor FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Vale. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Carvalho during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vilarelhe FC's Rui Carvalho got a free kick in the 25th minute. When António Neto fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amor FC's protests and gave António Neto a yellow card for diving instead. If Rui Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Henrique Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Cruz in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Filipe Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Amor FC booed when Vilarelhe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the game, David Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vilarelhe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amor FC the free kick. The supporters of Amor FC booed when Vilarelhe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Henrique Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Araújo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Augusto Anjos charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Anjos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Augusto Anjos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When João Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Amor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Amor FC's Afonso Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Carvalho in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Vilarelhe FC booed when Amor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Leite in the 71st minute of the match. António Neto hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Henrique Henriques made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Magalhães in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Cunha in the 83rd minute of play forced Vilarelhe FC's goalkeeper Henrique Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Anjos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Filipe Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Henriques having to interfere. João Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Henrique Henriques made a huge save. Despite being the better team, Amor FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
