Soutaria's Cristiano Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Leão in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, André Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soutaria's supporters rose to their feet, but André Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristiano Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Leão in the 26th minute of the match. Adelino Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Sá having to interfere. Viriato Bessa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Adelino Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lagoas FC's Júlio Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Veiga to make the kick off. The supporters of Soutaria booed when Lagoas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lagoas FC's Adelino Domingues suffered a concussion in the 58th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 58 minutes into the game, Oliveira Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soutaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lagoas FC the free kick. A collision led to Soutaria getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Oliveira Silva hit a great ball. Lagoas FC's Gonçalo Abreu took a good shot, in the 60th minute, which hit the crossbar above Cristiano Sá's head, and flew over the goal. Soutaria's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Lagoas FC. If Fernando Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
