Diamantino Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Subal's Diamantino Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Paiva in the 13th minute of play. When Joaquim Machado fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Subal's protests and gave Joaquim Machado a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Subal got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Machado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Paiva in the 19th minute of play forced Subal's goalkeeper Diamantino Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calvaes FC's Marco Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrique Ribeiro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Ferreira in the 34th minute of play forced Subal's goalkeeper Diamantino Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Paiva struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Diamantino Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calvaes FC. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
57 minutes into the match, Calvaes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Soares came free, but Jorge Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Subal booed when Calvaes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Júlio Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Soares's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. If Marco Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Subal's zone, Amadeu Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Moreira came out of the goal and Amadeu Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
