To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chocas's Paulo Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Tavares in the 20th minute of play. Hélder Miranda's late challenge caught a Chocas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. Hélder Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Delfim Cruzs short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Jorge Cruz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 44th minute, Xavier Pacheco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Almeida made a kick off. With his leg Paulo Pereira managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when SC Boligueira's Vítor Tavares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 54th minute SC Boligueira were awarded a corner. Lúcio Araújo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led SC Boligueira's Lúcio Araújo to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Pereira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vítor Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Pereira having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Paulo Pereira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chocas's Xavier Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Garcia during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute Xavier Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nuno Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Tavaress short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Paulo Pereira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 72nd match minute, Chocas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 77 minutes, Delfim Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chocas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Hélder Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Chocas's Xavier Pacheco got a free kick in the 86th minute. André Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Cruz having to interfere. Nuno Almeida struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Paulo Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Boligueira. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
