But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Borges couldn't finish the play. When Bento Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the SC Pipeira fans jumped to their feet. Paulo Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Moniz in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Chocas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Borges to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Moniz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the game, Cândido Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chocas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pipeira the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Cândido Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viriato Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delfim Cruz went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Francisco Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34thth minute of the game Delfim Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pipeira's Viriato Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mário Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chocas's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viriato Fonseca came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Chocas's Delfim Cruz. But to his dismay, Delfim Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. André Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Chocas getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. André Antunes hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, SC Pipeira's Hélder Reis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The SC Pipeira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chocas were winning 0-2.

53 minutes into the match, Francisco Moniz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Chocas's Paulo Pereira. Paulo Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SC Pipeira's Francisco Moniz suffered a concussion after 55 minutes and had to leave the field. A collision led to Chocas getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alexandre Cruz hit a great ball. Viriato Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Pacheco's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. SC Pipeira's Viriato Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Pacheco in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Delfim Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chocas's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 played minutes Chocas got a freekick which was hit by Mário Figueiredo. Hélder Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Pacheco in the 71st minute of play. In the 77th minute, one of SC Pipeira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Pipeira. In the 79th minute of the game, Chocas got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. After 82 minutes, Hélder Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pipeira and the Chocas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hélder Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Xavier Pacheco in the 84th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Viriato Fonseca kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Delfim Cruz in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Viriato Fonseca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Xavier Pacheco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Chocas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Xavier Pacheco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viriato Fonseca having to make a save. 92 minutes into the game, Chocas's Delfim Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viriato Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Bento Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
