Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cambaia's Hélder Viana started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Cambaia getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sérgio Gonçalves hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Gomes during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filipe Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Rodrigo Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Cambaia's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Pacheco came free, but Daniel Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexandre Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Alexandre Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cambaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Cambaia's Daniel Abreu got control of the ball when Filipe Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandre Santos scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rodrigo Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Malfrades players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cambaia were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Pacheco to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cambaia's zone, Diogo Ferro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Abreu came out of the goal and Diogo Ferro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Pacheco in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Pacheco in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Filipe Gomes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Daniel Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute, Filipe Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 74 minutes, Rodrigo Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malfrades's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Pacheco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Cambaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Baptista to maneuver through the defense. If Filipe Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Pacheco got in the 83rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Daniel Abreu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Malfrades walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
