Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Amadeu Jesus made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Amadeu Jesus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Viegas. SC Portejoes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Jesus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 7th minute, Amadeu Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Engenheiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Eduardo Faro scored to the left of an out of position Gaspar Miranda, making the score, 1-1. Engenheiro's Afonso Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Resende during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. António Viegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Setúbal went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of SC Portejoes booed when Engenheiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Eduardo Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Portejoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Amadeu Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Engenheiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, SC Portejoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaspar Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Engenheiro's Gaspar Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Faro in the 33rd minute of play. When Amadeu Jesus came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Engenheiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Jesus couldn't finish the play. SC Portejoes's António Viegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Setúbal in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Engenheiro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Carvalho was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Portejoes's players had a chance to rest. SC Portejoes's Lucas Cabral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gaspar Miranda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 57th minute Eduardo Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Engenheiro's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Resende came free, but Gaspar Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, SC Portejoes's goalkeeper António Viegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Setúbal. António Viegas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeu Jesus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Engenheiro's Humberto Barbosa got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Manuel Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Miranda having to interfere. Afonso Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Jesus in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Manuel Resende made a precise shot to the right of Gaspar Miranda. Engenheiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. A collision led to SC Portejoes getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Fernando Carvalho hit a great ball. Amadeu Jesus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Eduardo Faro notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Engenheiro's Gaspar Miranda. Gaspar Miranda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Fontes's late challenge caught a Engenheiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, one of SC Portejoes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Portejoes. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Engenheiro. Fernando Leal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving António Viegas. 3-4. Engenheiro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
