Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Celas's Sérgio Machado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Manuel Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Celas booed when Tebosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diamantino Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Magalhães in the 24th minute of the match. Albertino Pedroso hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Adolfo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Neto having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Magalhães in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Neto saved SC Celas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Magalhães in the 32nd minute of play forced SC Celas's goalkeeper Diamantino Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diamantino Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Martins's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Diamantino Neto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tebosa's Fábio Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Magalhães in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Magalhães to make the kick off. Carlos Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Neto having to interfere. Viriato Barbosa stood somewhat misplaced when Sérgio Machado came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 66 minute. A collision led to SC Celas getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Albertino Pedroso hit a great ball. Diamantino Neto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Sérgio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Celas's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute SC Celas were awarded a corner. Fernando Pinheiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Fernando Pinheiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tebosa's Viriato Barbosa did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Costa during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Celas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Pedro Costa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Tebosa's Fábio Araújo got a free kick in the 96th minute.
