If Oliveira Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Carlos Nunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Correia. Bernarda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Nunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute, David Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Afonso Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveira Marques in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Bernarda booed when SC Lameira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Oliveira Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Bernarda's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Nunes came free, but Afonso Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Carlos Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Lameira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliveira Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Bernarda's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Nunes came free, but Afonso Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernarda's Afonso Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveira Marques in the 35th minute of play. SC Lameira's Carlos Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Santos was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lameira's zone, David Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Pedroso came out of the goal and David Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 58 minutes, David Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bernarda's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st match minute, SC Lameira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Resende to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rdth minute of the game Oliveira Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bernarda's Afonso Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd match minute, SC Lameira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Porto to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Pedroso came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Bernarda's David Queirós. But to his dismay, David Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Carlos Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lameira's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Lameira's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
