Afonso Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Pedro Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Afonso Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Barbosa having to interfere. Lúcio Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jacinto Azevedo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Sérgio Neto struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Lúcio Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Guirela. After 23 played minutes João Dantas rounded SC Guirela's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Sérgio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Lisboa came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Perdigao FC's Afonso Lisboa. But to his dismay, Afonso Lisboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Afonso Lisboa put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Lisboa. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Dantas made a kick off. José Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes SC Guirela got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Neto. After a defensive mix-up in Perdigao FC's zone, Sérgio Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Barbosa came out of the goal and Sérgio Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lúcio Barbosa was a little too slow when José Assunção got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 3-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Neto got free with Lúcio Barbosa in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the game, Perdigao FC's Afonso Lisboa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Lisboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Lúcio Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Assunção in the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of SC Guirela booed when Perdigao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Neto got free with Lúcio Barbosa in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Guirela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Perdigao FC.
