The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílcar Gaspar got free with Luís Abreu in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferreira's Luís Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ferreira from getting a goal against them. In the 10thth minute of the game Sérgio Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valdigem FC's Catarino Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Aleixo in the 15th minute of play forced Ferreira's goalkeeper Luís Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by José Leite. Luís Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amílcar Gaspar in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Valdigem FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Matos came free, but Catarino Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Faria having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Afonso Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdigem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferreira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Afonso Aleixo scored to the left of an out of position Luís Abreu, making the score, 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Aleixo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Afonso Aleixo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Luís Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Aleixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Daniel Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Ferreira getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Daniel Pinto hit a great ball. Inácio Teixeira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Abreu. Ferreira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Catarino Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Luís Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Aleixo in the 73rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Valdigem FC's Catarino Faria got control of the ball when Sérgio Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The long shot by Mário Porto in the 77th minute really tested Catarino Faria's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 77th minute, Jorge Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valdigem FC's goalkeeper Catarino Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Valdigem FC's Luís Domingues got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 84 minutes Valdigem FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mário Porto who took care of the corner kick. In the 84th minute, Rui Fontes fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Catarino Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Leite in the 86th minute of the match. After 88 minutes Valdigem FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mário Porto who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ferreira's corner Mário Porto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Catarino Faria quite easily take care of the ball. Afonso Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sérgio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Valdigem FC had won after a very even match.
