António Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amílcar Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Dantas in the 18th minute of play forced Sezimbra's goalkeeper António Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Mário Cruz managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Sezimbra's Gonçalo Ribeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gonçalo Ribeiro had several of the Gamil's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Mário Cruz as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Alexandre Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. António Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Amaral hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sezimbra booed when Gamil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Humberto Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sezimbra's Gonçalo Ribeiro got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 43rd minute Humberto Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sezimbra's António Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Dantas in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Alexandre Correia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mário Cruz. The goal made the score 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Correia was the one to do the kick off. António Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Guarda in the 58th minute of play. When Gamil's Diamantino Guarda in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sezimbra's goalie prevented a goal. Sezimbra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Diamantino Guarda scored to the left of an out of position António Soares, making the score, 2-1. Gaspar Guerreiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. António Soares came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaspar Guerreiro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 67th minute. António Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Dantas in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Diamantino Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rui Amorim hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match.
