Sezimbra's António Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Sezimbra from getting a goal against them. Cristiano Veiga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, António Soares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Barros in the 23rd minute of play forced Sezimbra's goalkeeper António Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Aroeira getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Fernando Moreira hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Veiga got free with António Soares in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. António Soares came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Aroeira's Cristiano Veiga. But to his dismay, Cristiano Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sezimbra fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute.
