Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ricardo Machado kicked off to start the match. Eusébio Correia hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernandes spun around in front of the goal 4 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Palheira FC's goal. Palheira FC's Sandro Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 9 played minutes Arouca got a freekick which was hit by David Oliveira. In the 11th minute Palheira FC were awarded a corner. Manuel Torres went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Palheira FC's corner Manuel Torres fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Inácio Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Inácio Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Machado in the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Torres got free with Inácio Amorim in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Diogo Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 32nd minute of play forced Palheira FC's goalkeeper Diogo Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Arouca's zone, Ricardo Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Amorim came out of the goal and Ricardo Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Arouca's Inácio Amorim got control of the ball when Cláudio Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match, Sandro Carneiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Inácio Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Carlos Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Palheira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Resende to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. Diogo Nogueira made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Carlos Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute Cláudio Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute Ricardo Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Carlos Fernandes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diogo Nogueira having to make a save. Palheira FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Viriato Moura scored to the left of an out of position Diogo Nogueira, making the score, 1-2. Arouca's Inácio Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Torres in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Palheira FC's Cláudio Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inácio Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Amorim having to interfere. Diogo Nogueira came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Arouca's Carlos Fernandes. But to his dismay, Carlos Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Cláudio Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes, Ricardo Machado made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Arouca's Inácio Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Amorim having to interfere. Inácio Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arouca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
