Miguel Santos was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Mário Vale capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mário Vale really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Ricardo Macedo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Parambos's Manuel Nascimento. Manuel Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, SC Parambos's António Nascimento got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes, António Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Parambos and the Cantelaes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Parambos getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. António Nascimento hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Parambos's André Costa got a free kick in the 20th minute. Mário Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Miguel Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Santos came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Parambos's Carlos Dantas. But to his dismay, Carlos Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cantelaes FC's Miguel Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Vale in the 35th minute of play. António Nascimento hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Cristiano Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Dantas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Ricardo Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Rui Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Dantas in the 60th minute of play. Carlos Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Cristiano Soares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cantelaes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a rather tough play, Cantelaes FC's Cristiano Viana got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Cristiano Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristiano Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Parambos's Manuel Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save SC Parambos from getting a goal against them. Manuel Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to Cantelaes FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Cristiano Viana hit a great ball. Ricardo Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Manuel Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
