Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Dias started the match with the kick off. Jorge Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Cardoso in the 17th minute of play. André Dias scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Coimbra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Sousa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Carlos Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Sousa having to interfere. Jorge Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Cardoso in the 35th minute of play. When Eusébio Lima came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Segade FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Lima couldn't finish the play. André Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Eusébio Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Coimbra having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Cardoso to make the kick off. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Segade FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Albertino Cabral was slow to take the kick. During this time Codecal FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Codecal FC's Alexandre Freitas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Nogueira in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Sousa saved Segade FC from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Carlos Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Codecal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Afonso Setúbal's late challenge caught a Codecal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Setúbal helped the player get up and apologised. Segade FC were furious when Carlos Lisboa was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 67th minute, one of Segade FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Segade FC. The referee gave Codecal FC a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Albertino Cabral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Segade FC's Jorge Sousa. 2-1. Jorge Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Carlos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Coimbra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jorge Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Nogueira in the 85th minute of play. If Carlos Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codecal FC's Carlos Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Nogueira in the 96th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Segade FC's Xavier Domingues got a free kick in the 98th minute. After 100 played minutes Codecal FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Nogueira. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Codecal FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Segade FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
