Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Costa got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Cazevel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Soares to maneuver through the defense. If Joel Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Paulinos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Santos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cazevel's Hélder Ferro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Viriato Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pedro Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Cazevel got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Dias. Xavier Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Silva having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Xavier Rodrigues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paulinos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Joel Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Rodrigues in the 42nd minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Xavier Rodrigues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Joel Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Xavier Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Paulinos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. If Viriato Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Santarém made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Manuel Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulinos FC and the Cazevel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Rodrigues hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Joel Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viriato Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Basílio Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Hélder Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Pedro Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Nascimento in the 76th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Cazevel's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Santarém came free, but Joel Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Paulinos FC got a corner. Cazevel's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raul Lopes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
