The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Abragao FC's Cristiano Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lucas Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Afonso Martins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Pedroso. The goal made the score 1-0. Armindo Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Carneiro in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Lucas Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Grijo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Emanuel Neves hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Abragao FC's Sérgio Silva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Lucas Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Lucas Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Armindo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Lucas Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abragao FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Pedroso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Óscar Rodrigues went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Armindo Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Pedroso came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Grijo's Afonso Martins. But to his dismay, Afonso Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 70th minute Óscar Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simão Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Óscar Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SC Grijo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Óscar Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. When Afonso Martins came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the SC Grijo fans jumped to their feet. Óscar Rodrigues scored 4-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Pedroso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Grijo's Armindo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Paiva in the 87th minute of play. Afonso Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Daniel Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Rodrigues in the 90th minute of play forced Abragao FC's goalkeeper Daniel Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Grijo's zone, Cristiano Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Ferreira came out of the goal and Cristiano Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Grijo had won after a very even match.
