Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lúcio Monteiro made the kick off which started today's match. 9 minutes into the game, SC Brandiao's Pedro Henriques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armindo Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pedro Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Ferreira having to interfere. David Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Óscar Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Armindo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Emanuel Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Grijo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Brandiao the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Grijo's Emanuel Neves got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Henrique Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Grijo's protests and gave Henrique Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, SC Grijo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Andrade to maneuver through the defense. SC Grijo's Armindo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Henriques in the 30th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, SC Brandiao's goalkeeper David Gueifão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Óscar Rodrigues. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lúcio Monteiro in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Ferreira saved SC Grijo from getting behind. Óscar Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Gueifão having to interfere. Emanuel Neves hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Lúcio Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Neves was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Emanuel Neves hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After 49 played minutes, SC Brandiao's Marco Brito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armindo Ferreira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Brandiao reached it.

After 53 played minutes SC Grijo got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Martins. After having played for 54 minutes, Pedro Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Brandiao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Ferreira having to interfere. With his leg Armindo Ferreira managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when SC Brandiao's Pedro Henriques fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Óscar Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Gueifão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of SC Grijo booed when SC Brandiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Óscar Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Grijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Óscar Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Henriques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armindo Ferreira having to make a save. SC Grijo's Armindo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Monteiro in the 82nd minute of play. Pedro Henriques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Armindo Ferreira made a huge save. Óscar Rodrigues hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Óscar Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Armindo Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Brandiao eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
