After a defensive mix-up in SC Carvoeira's zone, Bento Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Coelho came out of the goal and Bento Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of SC Alcorochel booed when SC Carvoeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Coelho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Alcorochel's Mário Melo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Diamantino Delgado's late challenge caught a SC Alcorochel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Carvoeira's Diamantino Delgado got a free kick in the 26th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SC Carvoeira's Paulo Coelho got control of the ball when Mário Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Cristiano Guarda made the kick off in the second half. Mário Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rui Sá came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the SC Carvoeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Sá couldn't finish the play. Rui Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Óscar Rocha made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Vaz in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Carvoeira's goalkeeper Paulo Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Carvoeira's goalkeeper Paulo Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Cristiano Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mário Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Neto hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Bento Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the SC Alcorochel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Vaz couldn't finish the play.
