The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amadeu Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th match minute, SC Bonaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Coelho to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Camboso:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Bonaval:s goal. The referee gave SC Bonaval a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Basílio Moura, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Camboso's Gabriel Amaral. 0-1. Amadeu Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Alves having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nuno Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Amaral was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Paulo Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Pedroso in the 35th minute of play. Hugo Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeu Delgado's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. If Sebastião Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Alves made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Amadeu Delgado sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Camboso's Mário Monteiro got a free kick in the 47th minute. After recieving a nice pass, SC Bonaval's Basílio Moura tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After the first half SC Bonaval were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Camboso's Gabriel Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Sousa in the 55th minute of play. Gabriel Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hugo Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
